Utah is it's own little culture that is different from the rest of the United States, and no matter how much I love traveling and seeing the rest of the world I LOVE coming back to Utah! I frequently say to my mom, "I love Utah," or "Only in Utah," or I see something and I say, "This is why I love Utah!"
Reason One
(April 1, 2011- Friday)
During our school elections our current student council did a skit and their skit was going back in time and seeing how the teachers were back when they were in high school. Yes, hilarious, but this is why
I love Utah.
We have one teacher at our school who basically has done everything. No one could ever do as much as he was and what he has- in a lifetime. Here are some examples:
- He has rode an avalanche
- Jumped out of a jeep just before it was to crash and could not save his friend. His friend died.
- Crossed the Soviet Union Border
- Shot Someone
- Has been shot and has the scars to prove it
- He's rich, he only teaches for his entertainment
I have never had his class but I have heard of the countless and unbelievable things he has done. So of course I heard the rumor. The student council wanted to know if the rumor was true. So they hopped into their time machine and a sign came up saying "34 A.D." Three men were there saying something like, "I am so excited to live forever and teach the gospel." hahah, the Three Nephites! Only in Utah!!! Only in Utah. I guess the rumors were true. And that is one reason I love Utah!

Reason Two
General Conference Weekend!!! Something that keeps all Mormons inside listing to the words of God. Only happens twice a year, and I love it each time it comes! Today I look at the Sunday paper and this is what I see.

Just a brief review of the Saturday confrence. Love Utah! Underneath the picture it says:
Thomas S. Monson, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, speaks during the Saturday morning session of the church's 181st Annual General Conference in Salt Lake City. Below, conference attendess stroll through Temple Square after the morning session.
Only in Utah, only in Utah!
