That means my rough draft that was due today did not get done. But then I got this email and I was rejoicing. \\

This weekend my parents came up to surprise me!!! 

I was not expecting that because it's so close to the end of the school year 

and I saw them last week and they told me they had plans.

But they cancelled them. Basically I love my parents.

Watching Conference. And my mom made me food! 

And there was a rainbow. Pictures will never do it justice.

Festival of Colors

Brtiney, Sarah, Kelvin, and I went to the Festival of Colors.

It's one of the many things on my bucket list and I got to cross it off!

Spring Fever

We are just a little anxious for Spring. 

Yesterday it was simply gorgeous so we decided to go outside and avoid homework for an hour. 

And it was worth it.

Daily Routine 

Wednesday: Same thing but I don't have class so I just stay at the elementary school all day
Friday: I usually don't go to the elementary school. Instead I just relax till 11:30 and relax after

Thursday: I don't have institute at 6:00.

Birthday Love

My roommate Britney has a very fortunate birthday. It lands on the day of love. Valentines. We went to Olive Garden because she has never been there. It was defiantly unforgettable. Our waiter became my Valentine and Sarah's too!

Daily Delights

Lately school, work, lack of sleep, and life gets the better of me and I have become a complainer. Instead of complaining I'm going to brag. My life is great. I love it. And here are some of my daily  delights :)

• USU police escorting me to work so I don't have to walk in the dark alone.
• The gym. The pain's worth it.
• Wearing a skirt to school. 
• Talking to Alyse on the phone in my bed till 12 am. It's like old times. (miss that woman)
• Visits out to Clarkston.
• Sleep
• My mom sending me a Valentines Box of goodies.
• Early Valentines Day dinner.
• Inside Jokes.
• 2 more days! 

My mom is way cool.
She also did it last year.

Awkward and Awesome

Awkward

• Finding out that my FCHD professor is in my singles stake (and my FCHD class is marriage and family).
• Someone I just met telling me that her and her husband are trying to have a baby. Thanks for the info.
• Going to a depression screening test for extra credit. I walk in with a huge smile. (I was really happy to get extra credit.)
• Jolting awake... when I was awake? I don't know how that worked.
• Screaming, jumping, or a mixture of the two when I get scared, which is a daily thing. My roommates think it's funny. 

Awesome 

• Having a guy return my phone after I left it at the student center.
• Having an old man tap me on the shoulder to give me my phone when I was leaving the bus (I lose my phone a lot).
• I see a guy at the gym wearing a t-shirt "I'm a Mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it."
• Me: I really want a cookie
  Roomie: I can make some.
  Me: Will you?
  Roomie gets up and makes a whole bunch of cookies!!! :) 
• Nice people letting me borrow their textbooks because mine still have not come in yet. Maybe I should call Amazon. 

On another note, new blog layout! I like it. A lot. I think it will stick around for awhile and while I was in the mood I tweaked the pages around a bit. Have an Awesome Monday (and awkward-they make great stories). 

Things I Have Learned This Semester Thus Far

I can make Mac and Cheese really well.
I don't mean to brag, but hey, it's my new talent.

Netflix has become my new best friend.
Especially in my Folklore class.

Zero degrees is considered warm.

I need to go to bed before 10:30 because
5 hours of sleep just doesn't cut it.

The bus system and I have a love/hate relationship.
I hate it but it's my mode of transportation. I miss driving.

Mucho Frio!

This is priceless. My roommates and I could not resist laughing.
It's been a little cold this week. Monday it was -17 degrees outside and so when it was 0 the next day, it actually felt warm. Yesterday it was a whoppin' 3 degrees outside. It was so nice I decided that there was no need for a coat. Sweatshirt and a scarf. Perfect.

Like promised, pictures of my apartment are coming. Just not with the Halloween decor. 

The Weekend

On Friday my family and I went to see the Brigham City Temple for the Open House.

The temple was absolutely breathtaking.

On Saturday the family and I hiked to the wind caves.

And on Sunday I finally made my roommates cookies

 (still trying to figure out how the oven works so they look funny, but they were good). 

Labor Day

Morgan, Haley, and I decided to hike to the wind caves. It's one of my favorite hikes in the Logan area. I had a lot of fun with them and I love how cute Morgan is for a hike. Makeup, hair, earrings- the whole thing. Haley and I just throw on a t-shirt and pants. 

And my roommate came back today. It's been 5 days!!! (she could not believe it either.) Talk about an extra long weekend. I'm so happy that she's back and as you can tell we are quite weird. It's what you get when you have known each other for as long as we have.
